Philip McGough – Welsh actor, born 1950/51 in Penygraig, Wales. Trained as a monk from ages 14 to 26 before turning to acting. His film credits include M. Butterfly (1993) as Prosecution Attorney, Les Misérables (1998) as the Judge, Don't Go Breaking My Heart (1999) as Douglas, The Emperor's New Clothes (2001) as the English Tourist, and The Illusionist (2006) as Dr. Hofzinser. On television he appeared in Doctor Who (1984) as Sgt. Calder, The Monocled Mutineer (1986) as Edwin Woodhall, Only Fools and Horses (1989) as Arnie, Sharpe's Gold (1995) as Provost Marshal, Bad Girls (2000–2005) as Dr. Malcolm Nicholson across 28 episodes, Midsomer Murders (2005) as Geoffrey, and Doctors (2010) as Dr. Charlie Bradfield, for which he was nominated for Villain of the Year at the 2010 British Soap Awards.
