Kobi Peretz

Kobi Peretz (Hebrew: קובי פרץ; born October 28, 1975, in Tel Aviv) is an Israeli singer specializing in Mizrahi (Middle Eastern-style) music. The youngest of 10 children in a Moroccan-Jewish family, he began performing as a teenager and released his first album in 1992. He rose to major fame in the early 2000s with the massive hit “בלבלי אותו” (“Balbeli Oto” / “Confuse Him”), which became a cultural phenomenon and one of the biggest songs in Israeli Mizrahi music. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, he has released numerous albums (including Crazy About You, All That’s in Me, How Much Love, Written in the Heavens, and C’est la Vie), scored multiple hits, collaborated with artists such as Yaakov Shwekey and Ishtar, and filled major venues like the Menora Mivtachim Arena. His style mixes upbeat dance-pop with traditional Middle Eastern melodies and emotional lyrics about love and life.
