Ian Virgo (born Ian Frederick Virgo, 5 May 1981 in Glendale, California) – British-American actor and singer who moved to Caldicot, Wales at age six, giving him dual nationality. The youngest person ever accepted onto the postgraduate course at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied acting and singing at 17. He is also an active musical theatre performer, having played Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Freddie in My Fair Lady, and Danny Zuko in Grease. His most notable film roles include Specialist John Waddell in Black Hawk Down (2001, directed by Ridley Scott), a role in Band of Brothers (2001, directed by Steven Spielberg), Jimmy Gerenuk in the Rise of the Footsoldier trilogy (2007–2017), and Chris in The Beat Beneath My Feet (2014). On television he has appeared in EastEnders, Casualty, Spooks (2008), Crash (2009–2010, 12 episodes), Doctors (2010), and The Bastard Executioner (2015). He was awarded an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM) in 2017.
